Jonita Gandhi is popular Indo-Canadian singer. She prominently sings in English, Hindi, Tamil, Bengali, Telugu and Kannada languages. She is a versatile singer and has sung many popular bollywood songs.


Jonita Gandhi was born on 23 October 1989 in New Delhi but her parents moved to Canada when she was only 7 years old and she grew up in Toronto and Brampton. Her father is an electronics engineer by profession. She completed her degrees in health science and business.

Jonita also received an internship at CIBC World Markets during her undergrad. She has formal training in Western classical music and during her stay in India has taken up training in Hindustani classical singing. She gave her first singing performance with a song 'Mai ni Mai' in front of a huge gathering of about 500 people with a live Orchestra.

She has participated at concerts with Sonu Nigam which were located in various countries including Russia, UK, US and the Caribbean. After that, she decided to try her fortune in India. In 2017, she performed with Amit Trivedi on MTV Unplugged (India) Season 6.
