Anjana Padmanabhan

Anjana Padmanabhan won the first season of Indian Idol Junior. She was crowned as the winner by the Living Legend Amitabh Bachchan. She received the prize money of Rs. 25 lakh from Sony Entertainment Television, a Nissan Micra Car, a fixed deposit of Rs five lakhs from Kotak and Rs two Lakh from Horlicks. She has a dream to become the singers like Shreya Ghoshal, Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle and she also has a 2nd option to become pilot in future.

Anjana Padmanabha Biography

Anjana studies at DPS, Her father V Padmanabhan is a chartered accountant in a big firm and mother P Kalyani is a home maker. She is just 11 year old and studies in Class 6th. She is trained in Carnatic music for around three years from Akila , and then she learnt Hindustani classical from Shriman Pandit Hegde for sometime before coming in the competition. Her father is also very much fond of singing.

Anjana Padmanabha Winner of Indian Idol Junior 2013

11-year-old Bengaluru girl Anjana finally emerged as the winner of Indian Idol Junior. She said - "Although we were competing against each other, we were like a family filled with unique characters and had our moments of joy and sorrow. I never thought I will win the show. But I was very happy when my name was announced. My parents have been a constant support to me and when I told them my decision to participate in this competition they whole heartedly backed me throughout."
