BiographyHuma Qureshi was born on 28 July 1986 into a Muslim family in Delhi, India. She grew up in the Kalkaji, Greater Kailash of South Delhi. She has done her History Honours at the Gargi College. Later, she joined Act 1 theater group and performed in few theatre productions. She has worked with several NGOs and assisted a documentary filmmaker. She later moved to Mumbai and started to appear in various advertisements.
She has shot for almost 15 ads for brands like Vita Marie, Saffola Oil, Mederma Cream, Samsung Guru, Pears Soap and Nerolac. Then she signed Anurag Kashyap's crime thriller Gangs of Wasseypur. In 2012, she was honored with a Special mention by the Grand Jury at the 2012 Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles for her performance as the titular character in the short film Sujata. She has also been approached by South Film Billa II.
