Kratika Sengar Profile

Kratika is an popular Indian television actress. She gained recognition as P2 from the famous Indian daily soap Kasautii Zindagii Kay. She started her career with Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu thi, in which she played the character of "Saanchi". She was also seen as Naina in Kya Dill Mein Hai, a show on channel 9x. Apart from that she has been part of a reality show like Lux Kaun Jeetega Bollywood ka Ticket. She has played the title role of Rani Lakshmibai in Jhansi Ki Rani. She was also seen in the lead character of Aarti, in the most popular Zee TV show Punar Vivaah opposite Gurmeet Choudhary. She was last seen in Zee TV's Service Wali Bahu.

Biography

Kratika was born on July 3, 1985 in Kanpur. She has completed her schooling from Methodist High School, Kanpur and graduated from Delhi University. Before entering into acting career, she worked in an ad agency in Mumbai and for Hungama T.V. She made her debut in Television industry with Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. She got famous with her title role of Rani Lakshmibai in Jhansi Ki Rani. She has won many awards like Zee Rishtey Award for Favourite Beti in 2010, BIG Television Award for Veer Character Female in 2011 and The Global Indian Film and Television Honour for Best Fresh New Face Female in 2011.

Service Wali Bahu was a drama show aired on Zee TV. The show produced by Raakesh Paswan, under Village Boy Production starring Abhishek Rawat and Kratika Sengar in lead roles. Kratika played the role of Payal who is an engineer, but like it is for most parents, it's not enough that their child is professionally successful, marriage completes them.

Marriage/Husband

TV actress Kratika Sengar tied the knot on 3 September 2014, with well known actor Nikitin Dheer. She said, "Nikitin is a kid by heart and as a husband, I believe that he is a perfect one. You won't believe that I never wanted to marry an actor neither Nikitin wanted marry an actor as well. But when we started interacting, we gelled so well with each other that we forgot our profession and fell in love."

Career

From playing a romantic role to a warrior girl to playing a matured mother...Kratika has surely proved to be versatile in her seven year stint in tellytown. Starting off with a cameo in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, she found her calling in the television industry and did Kasauti Zindagii Kay. She won accolades for her performance in the show Kya Dil Me Hai and then showed her action moves in Jhansi Ki Rani. In Jhansi Ki Rani, she played the lead role of Female protagonist opposite Sameer Dharmadhikari. After this she has appeared in shows like Punar Vivah, Qubool Hai, Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev and Service Wali Bahu.

Life OK's Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev (Triangle Film Productions) introduced Kratika as Manasa, a goddess who has immense power but blinded on how her energies should be used for benefiting the human kind.

In Punar Vivah

Kratika essayed the role of Aarti, who was a widow opposite Yash Scindia (Gurmeet Choudhary). The story of Punar Vivah moved around these two different personalities who made to share a life when their respective families get them tied in the nuptial knot.

In Short film

Kratika acted in a short film named Read My Silence directed by Abhishek Chandra. The line that tells about the theme of the film is "Three different men, bound by silence with three different meanings." In this film the leading female role is done by Kratika whereas the leading male roles are Akshay Mittal, Akshay Sharma and Vijay Suriya and she played the love interest of Akshay Sharma.

In My Father Godfather

Kratika and Sharad Malhotra paired opposite each other for the first time in Pankaj Dheer's directorial debut My Father Godfather. The two played the cute, bubbly, naughty, fighting couple in the movie. Their characters had a romantic track and is laden with a lot of nok jhok and that made the chemistry come even better onscreen.
